Taoist Tai Chi - Tai Chi for beginners

Tai Chi and Me

Frederique Herel
Frédérique Herel
I first learned Tai Chi in Toronto in the 1990’s and had the rare opportunity to take lessons under the guidance of the founder of the organization, Master Moy Lin Shin.

I practiced this peaceful Chinese form of exercise for several years, before switching to more active types of workout and a plethora of other activities.

However, following serious health problems, I went back to practicing Tai Chi on a daily basis and, as a result, I experienced a very fast recovery. In view of such a success, I started to teach Tai Chi.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. By the same token, a video is probably worth a thousand pictures. Therefore, I believe the following videos offer the best introduction to Tai Chi and me.

In this interview, I explain what is tai chi, how I got into it, and how it has helped me recover very quickly from open heart surgery. I also describe other health benefits derived from tai chi.

If you are interested in tai chi for beginners and are asking yourself these questions about tai chi, I am answering them:
How long does it take to learn?
How safe is it to do Tai Chi?
Is it difficult to learn?
How much room do you need?

Here, I explain what makes my Tai Chi DVD different from other tai chi DVDs, especially tai chi for beginners.
